Do you remember the time you brought home your first computer? If you were as excited as we were, you can understand a little of why we started Give A Computer.org. We are here to give other people that same feeling of self empowerment and new understanding of the latest technology all in the comfort of there own home.
Give A Computer, Inc. is a registered non-profit 501 (c) (3), minority owned and operated charity that started from a mission to provide individuals and families without computers the chance to finally have a computer in their home. Even though the information age has grown and people are more technologically savvy, there are still a lot of people without computers and computer knowledge. Although we give computers to all, we do specialize in providing computers to our diverse program list of seniors, children, disadvantaged families, physically and mentally challenged individuals and teenage parents.
- Some senior citizens have a slight technology knowledge gap and we will endeavor to get the computers in their homes and provide training for them, by doing this we will bridge that knowledge gap.
- There are many parents who cannot afford computers and they and their children lack the understanding and ability to send an email, create a Word document, surf the internet and millions of other common tasks that can be done on a computer, we will provide them with the computers needed to build those skills.
- The physically and mentally challenged individuals need special equipment to attach to their computers and this area causes great need for special donations that will assist us in obtaining this special equipment.
- By providing teenage parents with computers to learn from home while caring for their children, we will encourage these young people to stay in school and eventually go to college or get a job.

We believe that everyone should help someone else and that is why we encourage all computer recipients to give to Give A Computer.org. No matter how big or small the donation, as long as a donation have been made to help someone else receive a computer.
