There is hope after an unplanned pregnancy, and we want to encourage young parents to still pursue their dreams of college and obtaining a good job. The early months after a baby is born are critical and the mother has to be there around the clock.  During this time the need for education is still a priority for a teenager, and we want to help them stay on track by providing a computer that will assist them in keeping up with school work and gaining experience on the computer while at home.

With the Welfare-to-Work (http://www.doleta.gov/wtw/) program officially ending on September 30, 2004, there is a need for computer literacy for single women on welfare and we can empower them to enter into the workforce and be productive.

Providing assistance at this critical stage in the life of a teenager will greatly improve their ability to earn a high school diploma and pursue a college education.
